After Neigborhood see Animal Services
Dear Neighborhood Watch Coordinators,
Thank you for your continued efforts with coordinating your communities Neighborhood Watch programs. As you are all already aware, just by participating in Neighborhood Watch, you, your Block Captains, and your Block Watchers are adding thousands of "eyes and ears" to the available resources of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Your combined efforts in documenting and reporting suspicious activity, persons, vehicles, and/or crimes in progress help the Sheriff's Office to reduce crime and make all of our neighborhoods safer. We at the Sheriff's Office are committed to assisting you with this endeavor.
Attached is the November 2009 issue of the Neighborhood Watch Bulletin- District 1. The one page bulletin contains some topics of information that may be pertinent to you and your Neighborhood Watch groups. Topics highlighted in this month's issue include: District 1 Crime Statistics for the previous month, October 2009; A quick and easy checklist for deterring residential burglary; and 10 tips on Personal Safety and Robbery Prevention. Remember, that there are some hyperlinks contained within the attached bulletin that will take you to their corresponding websites. Please feel free to disseminate the bulletin to each of your Neighborhood Watch group's respective members.
This is the third issue of the Neighborhood Watch Bulletin - District 1 and we've been getting some positive feedback from some of you about it. If anyone has any suggestions, requests, or other information that they would like to share regarding Neighborhood Watch in District I, please send me an e-mail reply.
As always, if there is ever anything that HCSO can do to assist you or your Neighborhood Watch programs, please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely
Deputy Chris DePolis #8679

Animal Services
Holidays mean parties, travel, and more lost animals. Only County tags let everyone know your beloved pet has been safely vaccinated for rabies and is looking for its lost family. Tags are a free phone call home, and you can even trace the pet owner through the County website after hours. County registration tags are required by law and support cruelty investigation as well as spay/neuter programs. Thank you for being a responsible pet owner! For more, log onto www.hillsboroughcounty.org/animalservices or call (813) 744-5660. Happy Holidays!
